FINECOMB THEATRE

SHADOW OF DOUBT

"For these two actors, this play needs enormous stamina, and the ability to execute precisely placed movement and dialogue over the course of 75 minutes without let-up or pause. Both actors are up to the task and deliver excellent performances where they keep us embroiled in their story from start to finish." - artshub.com.au

David and Heather Andrews seem like the perfect couple. Nestled in the Kalamunda hills, their newlywed life appears flawless – cooking dinner together, hiking scenic trails, and even building Ikea furniture with ease. It is the picture of suburban bliss, a white picket dream.

But appearances can be deceiving.

Now, as they sit in the witness box, recounting their story, it becomes clear there are three sides to every story: his, hers, and the one that can’t stay hidden. And as their tale unravels, the question lingers: which version casts the true Shadow of Doubt?

Written and directed by Rachel McMurray, brought to life with a powerhouse team of creatives, Shadow of Doubt is a powerful exploration of love, trust, and the hidden complexities that can lie beneath an idyllic surface.

Shadow of Doubt by Rachel McMurray played from 15th of April - 3rd of May 2025 in The Blue Room Theatre, Perth. More information available here.
